Have a recording of someone you miss? A voice note or video is enough.
Keep their voice tooWhat they said
Its 50% I dont know what I am doing and 50% you don't know what you are doing
A short clip, published with the permission of the person who submitted this memorial. If a family asks us to take it down, we do.
Every person here began with somebody remembering the things they used to say. If someone has come to mind while you have been here, you can preserve their words too. It begins with their name.
Add their photograph, their name and something they actually said. Start with their name — nothing more is needed yet. Every memorial is reviewed by a person before it appears.
The dates that mark the beginning and end of their life.
Not a quotation about them.
Something they actually said.
It doesn’t need to be profound — funny, ordinary, ridiculous or unmistakably them is perfect.
Choose the photograph you’d like strangers to meet them through.
Move and zoom the photograph until everyone you want included is visible.
Drag the photograph to move it. With a keyboard, select the circle and use the arrow keys, or use the sliders below.
The whole photograph, centred.
Upload the original video, voice note or voicemail. You do not need to edit it first—we use only the sound, and you choose what is heard.
A voicemail, WhatsApp voice note or ordinary video is enough. We use only the sound. A short clip can be kept with their memorial after it has been reviewed.

Video is often the easiest place to find someone’s voice. The picture is never uploaded or shown.
Your browser will ask you before the microphone is used. The recording stays in this page, it stops on its own at the limit, and you can listen to it, replace it or remove it before you submit anything.
Your recording is short enough to use as it is.
Choose the part you want people to hear.
Drag across the sound to choose a section. With a keyboard, use the two sliders below.
Nothing selected yet.
Only so we can tell you what happens to their memorial.
This is how they will appear to someone who never knew them.

Use this form to reach us about anything on this site — including asking us to remove a memorial, reporting a fake memorial or profile, requesting a different photograph, or correcting something that is wrong. Every message is read by a person and reviewed.
We read every message. If your request needs a reply, we will contact you at the email address you gave us.
Once Spoken is community-supported. Contributions pay for human review, secure storage and the ongoing cost of keeping them available.
£20 is the suggested contribution, but you can choose another amount. Supporting Once Spoken is entirely optional and buys no feature, influence or preferential treatment. Once Spoken is an independent business, not a charity.
Your contribution helps preserve more people and keeps the wall open to everyone.
