Report a Living Memorial safety concern

Anyone can report material in a Living Memorial. You do not need to be its owner or the person who submitted it.

Immediate danger: call 999. Do not wait for a website response. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact the police.

What you can report

Send a report

Include the person's name, the Living Memorial or memorial link, what is wrong, and whether anyone is at immediate risk. Please do not send illegal images or recordings again; identify where they appear.

What happens next

A person reviews every report. We may restrict access while investigating, preserve evidence, ask for enough information to verify the concern, remove material, restore it, or uphold/change a moderation decision. The Living Memorial owner cannot prevent Once Spoken taking platform-level safety action.

Your contact details are kept private from the public. We do not promise confidentiality where disclosure is legally required, but we do not routinely disclose a reporter's identity to the Living Memorial owner or contributor.

Appeal a decision

Choose “Appeal a moderation decision” in the same form and include the earlier report reference, the decision you dispute and why. The decision will be reviewed afresh where practicable.

Emergency reports are reviewed immediately on discovery. We aim to acknowledge urgent reports within 24 hours, standard reports and appeals within two working days, and to provide a reasoned initial outcome for standard matters within ten working days. Credible harm may be restricted before the investigation is complete.
